сущ.Русское существительное различие относится в равной мере как к несходству объектов, так и к разнообразию их в рамках одного вида или одной категории. В английском языке несходство и различие передаются разными словами.1. difference — (существительное difference многозначно): a) различие, разница, отличие, несходство (обозначает сам факт непохожести/несходства одного объекта с другим, не уточняя того, в чем состоит это несходство и в какой мере оно определенно, очевидно или ясно): difference in appearance (character) — несходство внешности (характеpa); all difference in the world — существенная разница/большая разница; difference of opinion — расхождение во мнениях/разногласия; the difference between two versions of the same text — различие между двумя редакциями одного и того же текста/разночтение между двумя редакциями одного и того же текста; with the difference that… — стой разницей, что…; to make a difference between… — проводить различие между… What difference does it make to you who is coming to the party? — Вам разве не все равно, кто придет на этот вечер?/Какая вам разница, кто ожидается на приеме? That's all the differcnce./It makes all the difference. — В этом-то и вся разница./Это совсем другое дело.
